HUE will be a space for the homeless LGBT youth to come get back on their feet and socialize with local LGBT youth. There will be a focus on color to play off of the LGBT flag and also to create a place that is playful. With the use of colorful finishes and textiles along with colorful graphic walls will achieve this. There will also be a focus on security. This will be achieved with the use of key card access with the use of a central receptionist in the main entrance. The use of natural light will be highlighted thanks to the wrap around window wall on both floors. Finally, the residence will give a contemporary feel to make the youth feel at home even though the stay will be short.
